Mark Miller

Mark Miller is a co-founder of Viasat, Inc. and serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. He has helped lead many of the Company’s satellite communications innovations with a special focus and interest on modulation, coding, digital signal processing and multiple access techniques.

Mark is the holder of a number of communications patents. He has a passion for sharing his knowledge and key learnings with students, which has led him to give a number of educational lectures on satellite communications through the University of California, San Diego extension program, and through UCLA Engineering.

Prior to starting Viasat, Mark was a Staff Engineer at M/A-COM Linkabit. He also spent time at Cubic Defense Systems in San Diego.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
